Mike McCarthy
Mike is a lawyer, investor and business executive with 30 years of experience leading and growing a number of Silicon Valley based technology companies. This includes over twenty years as the Chief Legal Officer at three publicly traded technology companies. In addition, Mike has significant sales and operational experience with positions that included Head of Corporate Development and Worldwide Sales and Support. He has helped raise over $3 billion in private and public financing, including QuantumScape Corporation’s recent de-PAC merger transaction and subsequent follow-on offering, and Infinera Corporation’s IPO and follow-on debt and equity offerings. In addition, he has led the negotiations of over $3.5 billion in public and private company transactions, including a wide variety of global licensing, collaboration, joint development and sales agreements.
Mike is a board member or business advisor to several technology companies. Mike has served as a guest lecturer at Vanderbilt University’s School of Law; provided testimony before the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission; and lectured on a variety of topics including SPACs, mergers and acquisitions, the protection of trade secrets. Mike received his undergraduate degree in Mathematical-Economics from Colgate University and his law degree from Vanderbilt University.
