Marty Lagod

 Martin Lagod is an entrepreneur and investor who began his career as an intellectual property attorney. He has been a leader in Silicon Valley for more than 40 years – many worlds away from Tyner, Tennessee where he grew up.

 He has been a founder CEO and board member for more than15 companies in a wide variety of industries, with deep experience in renewable energy, resilient infrastructure and sustainable agriculture. Most recently, he serves as co-founder and strategic advisor at SpringFree EV, a fintech company pioneering financing innovation to catalyze a gigaton of carbon reduction by accelerating deployment of EVs. He spends much of his other time thinking about how exogenous risks can impact private companies as they scale. Reading, learning and helping people and organizations achieve impact are a joy.

 Marty graduated with Honors in Economics from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and received his JD from Vanderbilt. He is a loyal Tar Heel, an avid golfer and still plays basketball twice a week. He has two daughters and a son and four grandchildren.
