Kathy Truong

Kathy is passionate and driven towards creative solutions for social good, which naturally led her to NosTerra. Kathy has 10 years of experience in executive support, consulting, policy, and communications for nonprofits and high profile elected officials in Silicon Valley. She handled strategic scheduling and high-level relationship management as a Congressional Aide and Scheduler to Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren, one of the top Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives. More recently, she served Supervisor Cindy Chavez at the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, where she provided policy recommendations and legislative impacts on almost half a million most vulnerable residents of District 2. Kathy has extensive experience driving collaboration with stakeholders across the business, tech, government, education, nonprofit, and labor to drive initiatives and curated events for multi-sector impact and engagement.

She is proud to have led the charge for the creation of the County's first Hate Crimes Task Force, the Local Voters Rights Act, Women's Leadership Policy Summits, and partnerships with local and federal partners, environmental groups, and grassroots organizations on efforts to remove lead from piston-engine aircraft aviation fuel due to the threat it poses to public health and welfare.

Kathy is a proud immigrant and Asian Pacific American Leadership Institute (APALI) CLP Alumni. She serves on the Board of the Vietnamese American Professional Women's Network of Silicon Valley and the Bay Area Asian Pacific American Legislative Staffers (BAAPALs). Kathy received her B.S. in Public Health Sciences from the University of CA, Irvine, loves the outdoors, mentoring the next generation, and believes that food is medicine.
