Kathy Truong
Kathy thrives in dynamic environments. She brings over a decade of experience in strategic executive support, consulting, public policy, and communications for high profile elected officials in Silicon Valley and nonprofits. She managed strategic scheduling and high-level relationship management for Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren, one of the top Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Then, she served for the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, where she provided critical policy recommendations and legislative impacts on almost half a million most vulnerable residents of District 2. She was pivotal in shaping impactful initiatives, including the creation of the County's first Hate Crimes Task Force, the Local Voters Rights Act, Women's Leadership Policy Summits, and partnerships with local and federal partners, environmental groups, and grassroots organizations on efforts to remove lead from piston-engine aircraft aviation fuel due to the threat it poses to public health. Kathy has extensive experience driving collaboration with internal and external stakeholders across the business, tech, government, education, nonprofit, media, and labor to drive teams, initiatives, and events for multi-sector impact.
Kathy is a proud immigrant and Asian Pacific American Leadership Institute (APALI) CLP Alumni. She is the Vice President of the Vietnamese American Professional Women's Network of Silicon Valley. Kathy received her B.S. in Public Health Sciences from the University of CA, Irvine, loves the outdoors, mentoring the next generation, and believes that food is medicine.
